Since the introduction of the LECTRA MODARIS V8R2 in 2015, we have been working closely with customers and partners to provide support for their needs. To complement this development, we are happy to announce that our new business partner, Diamino Software Systems GmbH, has developed a patch for their simulator Diamino V6R2 SP7. The patch is available on our website and is compatible with all LECTRA MODARIS V8R2 models: UP/D10/D14/N4-1SV-X / F3-1SV-X. It transparently merges the functionality of the Diamino V6R2 SP7 into your current installation. For more information on this patch, please refer to our support article: PATCHED Lectra Modaris V8R2 (EXPERT) and Diamino V6R2 SP7 Updates: please check "Whats New" in the Help menu for a list of recent changes. Please also update your installation if you have any older version of the software installed. Version 8.1 adds many improvements and fixes bugs; we recommend all customers to upgrade to this version. Note that in some cases, for example in the case of a custom installation with a single model, a historical version may no longer be available. In such cases, it is necessary to contact us to request an older version. Some customers have been using Modaris since version 7 and have been asking for a list of changes from one major release to the next. In this respect, it is often difficult to aggregate information from various sources due to the fact that all LECTRA MODARIS V8R2 models display an equivalent level of functionality and performance. Therefore, we wish to clarify that: - Modaris version 7 and above can be installed on a UP/D10/D14/N4-1SV-X / F3-1SV-X with any combination of models (Modaris V6R2, Modaris V8R2 and Diamino). - Modaris version 8.1 adds new features to V8R2 models, so it is likely possible to find new scenario designs which include scenario components of older versions on any of these models. - We always recommend to update to the latest Modaris version whenever possible, as this will minimize risks of bugs resulting from old code. - The new V8R2 Diamino plugin covers all features required by Diamino customers without issues or incompatibilities with prior versions of Modaris on their current installation. - All customers are invited to contact our helpdesk for further information if they have any questions about installing their LECTRA MODARIS V8R2 model.
